I am starting to think there’s nothing but bad news hanging over the Ted Cruz campaign these days. Campaign ads are being removed from TV or have former porn stars tabbed to play a role, Both Donald Trump and Marco Rubio campaigns are slamm...ing him with a 1-2 punch on calling him out for lying about their positions and today according to the Public Policy Polling, his unfavorables were higher than even Jeb Bush in South Carolina.
Now this! Someone played loose with all facts and truth by creating a Trey Gowdy Facebook page and switching the Congressman’s support from Rubio to Cruz. As you will see, Gowdy went through the roof.

Some of the facts I speak will make whites uncomfortable and some will think I hate them. Some blacks will call me crazy, wack, anything under the sun for their lack of comprehension and understanding. AFTER OUR GRANDDAUGHTER'S ALL-DAY DANCE COMPETITION ON SATURDAY, Rick and I were taking the other 3 eight-year-olds back to the house with us. I realized that my Grandma Vi was buried very nearby (plus my Dad and Grandpa too) and I really wanted to take advantage of being so close to the cemetery. I hadn't visited there in quite a while and Rick was happy to swing by when I asked him if we could. We didn't realize the sun would set so dramatically while we were there! The ...fact that sunsets are symbolic for the last days of life did not escape my thoughts.
The kids were fascinated by the cemetery and read all the names engraved on the headstones as we drove slowly through. We also saw the grave of my grandparents' best friends, which brought back a flood of memories about how intertwined our 2 families were for many years. The ties we had were numerous and incredibly rich. Still are. smile emoticon

After our plane was delayed for hours and missing our connecting flight from Newark into Munich.. we have finally made it to Italy!!
25 years ago today I remember it well. We were at St. Mary's hospital, here in Madison, waiting to deliver our 2nd daughter. We obviously had no idea what a fabulous gift we were about to receive. We didn't know that she was going to be beautiful or talented or creative. We didn't know that she was gonna make us laugh so much or bring so much joy to all our lives. We had no way of knowing that she was gonna be daring enough to move to the other side of the world all by hersel...f to follow God's call on her life, and for 3 whole years! We didn't know she would be such a lover of God and his House! We didn't know she would love all of her family so much and be so loyal to friends. We didn't know she would pour out her life tirelessly to others. All we knew is that we loved her with all our hearts! Everything else is just the frosting on top!! @bethanyrae11

We got a little preview of our newborn photos yesterday and this one brought me to tears. I haven't shared this widely, but Naomi was my 9th pregnancy, with all our previous ones ending in early losses. So now that's she's here, I remember the years when hoping seemed like more than I could do, and wish I could reach back into time and show myself how truly beautiful she is. My faith was what sustained me though deep sorrow, and definitely deepened through our experience, but... I would never have wished for it.
Her name, Naomi, means "sweetness", and although it's true that she is very sweet, we chose it because we saw the Lord be incredibly sweet to us as we walked through very bitter times.
Carolyne, her middle name, was Bear's mom's name. She passed away from cancer almost 7 years ago. While she can't be here with us to see her beautiful grand baby, we were glad to honor her in this way.
You can thank the NAFTA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT that "removed" tariffs but allowed Mexico to institute an 18% VAT tax that they put on all manufactured goods that come into their country but get rebated if you manufacture in Mexico. Our mfg's income tax does not get rebated if they export from US but the Mexican equivalent does. Now you know the real reason they move to Mexico and sellout the American worker and mfg communities.

My lead flight attendant came to me and said, "We have an H.R. on this flight." (H.R. stands for human remains.)
"Are they military?" I asked.
'Yes', she said....
'Is there an escort?' I asked.
'Yes, I've already assigned him a seat'.
'Would you please tell him to come to the Flight Deck. You can board him early," I said...
A short while later a young army sergeant entered the flight deck. He was the image of the perfectly dressed soldier. He introduced himself and I asked him about his soldier.
The escorts of these fallen soldiers talk about them as if they are still alive and still with us. 'My soldier is on his way back to Virginia ,' he said. He proceeded to answer my questions, but offered no words.
I asked him if there was anything I could do for him and he said no. I told him that he had the toughest job in the military, and that I appreciated the work that he does for the families of our fallen soldiers. The first officer and I got up out of our seats to shake his hand. He left the Flight Deck to find his seat.
We completed our preflight checks, pushed back and performed an uneventful departure. About 30 minutes into our flight, I received a call from the lead flight attendant in the cabin.
'I just found out the family of the soldier we are carrying, is also on board', she said. She then proceeded to tell me that the father, mother, wife and 2-year old daughter were escorting their son, husband, and father home. The family was upset because they were unable to see the container that the soldier was in before we left.
We were on our way to a major hub at which the family was going to wait four hours for the connecting flight home to Virginia . The father of the soldier told the flight attendant that knowing his son was below him in the cargo compartment and being unable to see him was too much for him and the family to bear. He had asked the flight attendant if there was anything that could be done to allow them to see him upon our arrival. The family wanted to be outside by the cargo door to watch the soldier being taken off the airplane.
I could hear the desperation in the flight attendants voice when she asked me if there was anything I could do. 'I'm on it', I said. I told her that I would get back to her.
Airborne communication with my company normally occurs in the form of e-mail like messages. I decided to bypass this system and contact my flight dispatcher directly on a secondary radio. There is a radio operator in the operations control center who connects you to the telephone of the dispatcher. I was in direct contact with the dispatcher. I explained the situation I had on board with the family and what it was the family wanted. He said he understood and that he would get back to me.
Two hours went by and I had not heard from the dispatcher. We were going to get busy soon and I needed to know what to tell the family. I sent a text message asking for an update. I saved the return message from the dispatcher and the following is the text:
'Captain, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. There is policy on this now, and I had to check on a few things. Upon your arrival a dedicated escort team will meet the aircraft. The team will escort the family to the ramp and plane side. A van will be used to load the remains with a secondary van for the family.
The family will be taken to their departure area and escorted into the terminal, where the remains can be seen on the ramp. It is a private area for the family only. When the connecting aircraft arrives, the family will be escorted onto the ramp and plane side to watch the remains being loaded for the final leg home.
Captain, most of us here in flight control are veterans. Please pass our condolences on to the family. Thanks.
I sent a message back, telling flight control thanks for a good job. I printed out the message and gave it to the lead flight attendant to pass on to the father. The lead flight attendant was very thankful and told me, 'You have no idea how much this will mean to them.'
Things started getting busy for the descent, approach and landing. After landing, we cleared the runway and taxied to the ramp area. The ramp is huge with 15 gates on either side of the alleyway. It is always a busy area with aircraft maneuvering every which way to enter and exit. When we entered the ramp and checked in with the ramp controller, we were told that all traffic was being held for us.
'There is a team in place to meet the aircraft', we were told. It looked like it was all coming together, then I realized that once we turned the seat belt sign off, everyone would stand up at once and delay the family from getting off the airplane. As we approached our gate, I asked the copilot to tell the ramp controller, we were going to stop short of the gate to make an announcement to the passengers. He did that and the ramp controller said, 'Take your time.'
I stopped the aircraft and set the parking brake. I pushed the public address button and said: 'Ladies and gentleman, this is your Captain speaking: I have stopped short of our gate to make a special announcement. We have a passenger on board who deserves our honor and respect. His Name is Private XXXXXX, a soldier who recently lost his life. Private XXXXXX is under your feet in the cargo hold. Escorting him today is Army Sergeant XXXXXXX. Also, on board are his father, mother, wife, and daughter. Your entire flight crew is asking for all passengers to remain in their seats to allow the family to exit the aircraft first. Thank you.'
We continued the turn to the gate, came to a stop and started our shutdown procedures. A couple of minutes later I opened the cockpit door. I found the two forward flight attendants crying, something you just do not see. I was told that after we came to a stop, every passenger on the aircraft stayed in their seats, waiting for the family to exit the aircraft.
When the family got up and gathered their things, a passenger slowly started to clap his hands. Moments later, more passengers joined in and soon the entire aircraft was clapping. Words of 'God Bless You', I'm sorry, thank you, be proud, and other kind words were uttered to the family as they made their way down the aisle and out of the airplane. They were escorted down to the ramp to finally be with their loved one.
Many of the passengers disembarking thanked me for the announcement I had made. They were just words, I told them, I could say them over and over again, but nothing I say will bring back that brave soldier.
I respectfully ask that all of you reflect on this event and the sacrifices that millions of our men and women have made to ensure our freedom and safety in these United States of AMERICA.

Ok so, some cunt came in to my job today. After servicing her car, I was her cashier and she was a total bitch. She stepped outside and then asked for the general manager. (Here's the kicker) While talking to my boss, she claims that I was rude and a total douche, and her reason was as follows, and I quote "He was extremely rude. Just because I didn't come here with my makeup on all dolled up with boobs popping out doesn't give him reason to be rude to me!" My boss calmly tol...d her that he didn't believe her and if she had brought her husband up there that I might have been nicer. She didn't understand, so he had to spell out to her the fact that I'm homosexual and her makeup and boobs had absolutely nothing to do with my mistreatment of her(even though I wasn't rude to her, anyone that has known me for more than 2 days knows that I'm not a rude person.) Anyways, obviously she tried to get free services from us by saying she didnt pretty herself up enough for me(a gay guy) to like her, and it backfired in her face because she didnt know I was gay. LOL

My favorite movie as a small child was The Strongest Man in t...he World, so I'm glad to announce that, yes, Kurt Russell has joined our cast and, yes, he is more awesome a dude than I ever could have imagined.
The last few days around here with him and our other new cast members, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan, have been some of the best of my life. I never thought anyone was missing from our island of misfit toys, but now that these folks are here there feels like there was.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Glenn Close are all returning.
We'll have more surprises for you in the coming months. But, for now, this will have to do.

WOW!! 4 years ago I was a walking dead girl.. Life was very dark and I saw no sign of light at the end of the tunnel. I was hopeless, broken, confused and hur...t. I felt abandoned, I felt like I would never amount to anything. I wandered around without purpose!! But after many failed attempts to crawl out of the pit of addiction myself I finally called out to a God I didn't even know was real! Seriously... I doubted if their was really a God. But this day 4 years ago He showed himself Strong and mighty to me. In the midst of my pain and brokeness he came to my rescue. HE cleaned me up, HE gave me another chance at life, HE gave me a purpose, HE is my saviour Jesus Christ. And without him I would be dead in my addiction today, but because of him I am alive to tell my story and to tell others their is life after Meth!! In Jesus!! Their is no place too dark that his light can't make bright!! 13 years of Addiction was broken off of my life in an instant. He has restored me!! He has given me 2 beautiful children, a husband, a home. The clothes I'm wearing aren't borrowed, the car I drive isn't borrowed, the pillow I lay my head on is not borrowed. And that's a big deal to me. I have relationships with my family, I have 2 awesome jobs that I love. And it is all because I called out to a God that loved me even when I didn't love myself. He was faithful to me, when I wasn't faithful to him. He is God almighty that sent his son Jesus to die for our sins that WE could live!! And I am so thankful for the blood of Jesus!! I endured state and national testing.
I was finger printed and background checked.
I trained before, during, and after my training/ education.
I continue to train because I am a lifelong learner.
Since full time employment, I have sacrificed time, sleep, and Family.
I have sacrificed my own money year after year to provide for my students.
I am a teacher.
I have learned, lasted, endured change, endured further change, and endured orders to embrace the change.
While you were sleeping, I have corrected papers and tests, researched and created, and endured harassing phone calls and emails with grace and professionalism.
I teach the kids who live on your streets.
I teach the kids that have been bailed out of jail.
I teach the kids who have been kicked out of psychiatric centers because they were beyond help.
I teach the kids whose home situations you could never imagine even in your worst nightmares.
I teach ALL students no matter their socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, medical/ psychiatric condition, good or poor attitude, religion, family circumstances.
When accused by the federal and state government for being part of a failing system,
I endure name calling, shame, and criticism simply because I am a teacher.
I am professionally evaluated on two days worth of test scores and not the amount of time and effort I put into my teaching.
And despite it all,
I AM a teacher
And devoted to this noble calling.

"Tonight I won $200 on a scratch ticket..I was so excited until I looked up and met Glenn. He was holding a homeless sign his hands shook and he was crying as t...he negetive degree wind whipped his face. I rolled down my window and offered to buy him coffee which he was hesitant but grateful to accept. As we drove to Dunkin Donuts I asked him where he was going to sleep he said he didnt know so on the way I called the local and other homeless shelters within a 10 mile area...no spots. It was then I knew why I won the $200, God placed Glenn in my path for a reason, so I drove him to the Rosewood Inn in Wareham and paid for a 2 night stay.
I've never seen a grown man cry; he began praying and telling me I was an angel. So tonight I know my new friend Glenn is warm."

February 17, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) This morning, officers on routine patrol located the suspect vehicle in the fatal hit and run case from last evening in the area of 30th and Fremont
Avenue North. The vehicle is in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department.
The Minneapolis Police Department would like to thank the members of the public and the media who aided in getting the information out about this crime.

Victim of Hit and Run Succumbs to her Injuries
February 16, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) The victim of the hit and run at 30th Avenue and Fremont Avenue North from earlier this evening died at North Memorial Medical Center at 9:15 pm.
Additional suspect vehicle information is that the wing window on the back door, driver’s side, is missing and it is covered with plastic. See new photo below.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will provide the identity of the victim as well as determine the nature and cause of death.

Vehicle that Left one in Critical Condition
February 16, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) On Tuesday evening at 5:26 pm, Minneapolis Police were called to the area of 30th Avenue and Fremont Avenue North. 911 callers stated that a vehicle had struck the victim, an adult female, and fled westbound on 30th Avenue North towards Girard Avenue.
Witnesses described the vehicle as an older model Ford Crown Victoria, white in color with possibly a dark colored roof. It was described as possibly having been a taxi at a previous time.
The victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in critical condition.
City cameras were able to capture images of the suspect vehicle. Two images are included in this press release.

I love teaching. I'm very grateful for my job. To be honest- some days it sucks. Their are days where I leave exhausted/frustrated/hopeless. (insert any other negative/sad emotion) The good days outnumber the bad for sure. I often feel energized, hopeful, and inspired. Yet, this past year I have said on a few different occasions that "we are in a national education crisis." It's not a Saint Paul issue or Minneapolis issue, its a national problem. I believe in the public educa...tion system. I am a product of it and overall my experience was pretty good. A number of people paved the way and inspired me to enter this profession. (my kindergarten teacher and third grade teacher were two of my biggest champions) I had a lot of teachers throughout my childhood invest in their classes and individual students. Mauri Melander Peg Hartwig I don't know what it will take for change to take place, but I sure hope its on its way. It saddens me to think young, talented adults are not entering the education field especially in the communities they are from. I would love to hear your thoughts as teachers, parents, and community members.
