I will be updating this list as we move along. This is to help those who are new to Bible numbers have a starting point. You will notice some overlaps between numbers as the complexities of divine order cannot be condensed to one word answers. Numbers in scripture must be defined through identifying themes throughout. Some numbers become more complex when we begin adding them together but even in this case they do not conflict but rather affirm on a deeper level. I looked at countless sources as well to find symmetry among interpretations. The ones I used are listed at the bottom.

1

Unity

“There can be no doubt as to the significance of this primary number. In all languages it is the symbol of unity. As a cardinal number it denotes unity; as an ordinal it denotes primacy. Unity being indivisible, and not made up of other numbers, is therefore independent of all others, and is the source of all others. So with the Deity. The great First Cause is independent of all. All stand in need of Him, and He needs no assistance from any. ”

“Man’s ways and thoughts are the opposite of God’s. God says, “Seek first.” Man says, “Take care of number one.” He is in his own eyes this “number one,” and his great aim is to be independent of God. Independence, in God, is His glory. Independence in man, is his sin, and rebellion, and shame.” Its Supernatural Design and Spiritual Significance
by E.W. Bullinger

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

Father. Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Ephesians 4:5 “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.”

The first Commandment is, “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”

2

Division

The Son who has two natures: human and divine. There are 2 Testaments: the Old and New. Man is Male and Female. Rom. 9 speaks of two vessels: one for honorable use and the other for dishonorable use. Two types of people: Sheep and Goats. There are two ages: this age and the age to come. (carm.org)

“Two” is first mentioned in Genesis 1 “two great lights”. A division of night from day.

“Two” (divided individuals) shall become one flesh.

Two by two pairs on the ark, two by two the apostles were sent out. There is power in two individually divided persons united.

3

Divine Perfection

The Trinity consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3 – Time, space and matter

3 – time is further broken down into past, present and future.

First appearance “third day” in Genesis 1 when the earth rose up out of the water. This is symbolic of Christ resurrecting on the third day. Jonah was in the belly of the fish 3 days and “third day” appears 52 times in 48 verses in scripture.

4

Creation

Day 4 – God created the physical universe, sun, moon and stars.

Time was created on day 4. In other words, days 1-3 were still outside of time and therefore eternity past. If we were to attempt to date that which existed outside of time it could appear as millions, billions or trillions of years old.

4 directions – north, south, east, west

4 seasons – winter, spring, summer, fall

5

Grace

Bullinger says: “Five is four plus one (4+1). We have had hitherto the three major Offices of the Godhead. Now we have a further revelation of a People called out from mankind, redeemed and saved, to walk with God from earth to heaven. Hence, Redemption follows creation. Inasmuch as in consequence of the fall of man creation came under the curse and was “made subject to vanity,” therefore man and creation must be redeemed. Thus we have:Father, Son, Spirit, Creation, Redemption.”

“Penta” means “five”. Pentecost means “50”. Grace (5) x completed order of a matter (10).

5 fingers, 5 toes, 5 senses, 5 smooth stones (David and Goliath), 5 components to the anointing oil.

6

Sin and flesh, the number of man.

Antichrist, son of perdition, the beast, the man of sin – the number of his name is 666

  • Man was created on the 6th day
  • Man appointed to 6 days of labor
  • Hebrew slaves served 6 years and were freed on 7th
  • 6 earthquakes mentioned in Bible – Exodus 19:18, 1Kings 19:11, Amos 1:1, Matthew 27:54, 28:2, Acts 16:26)
  • 6 hours Jesus suffered on the cross on the 6th hour the world went dark.
  • 6 jars in which the water was transformed into wine by Jesus at the wedding of Cana
  • 6 times Jesus was accused of having a demon – Mark 3:22, John 7:20, 8:48, 8:52, 10:20 and Luke 11:15
  • 6 times Jesus was asked by those who lacked faith for a sign. The 6 events are recorded 8 times in the gospels.
  • 6 times in the NT there is mention of people who practice sorcery or divination.
  • In Joshua 6, they marched around Jericho for 6 days. It would be on the 7th they march 7 times and the walls came down.
  • The width of the gold statue that the king Nebuchadnezzar made build had 6 cubits.
  • The 6th clause in the prayer of the The Lord’s Prayer is that we not be led into sin and be delivered from evil.
  • In Genesis 6 chapter 6 God announces the Flood. And in 6:6 we read: “YHWH regretted having made human being on earth and was grieved at heart”.

7

Spiritual and divine perfection or completion

The following is from carm.org: “THE NUMBER OF SPIRITUAL PERFECTION. Seven days in a week. Seven colors in the spectrum. Seven of the 10 commandments begin with the word “not.” There are 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 parables in Matthew, and 7 promises to the churches. There are 7 “eternals” in Hebrews which are: A priest for ever (1:6); Eternal salvation (1:9); Eternal judgment (6:2); eternal redemption (9:12); eternal spirit (9:14); eternal inheritance (9:15); and everlasting covenant (13:20).”

“Jesus said 7 things on the cross: 1) Luke 23:34 “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots; 2) Luke 23:43 Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise”; 3) Matthew 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”–which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”; 4) John 19:26 “When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son”; 5) John 19:28 “Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 6) John 19:30 “When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit”; and 7) Luke 23:46 “Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.” “Hallelujah” occurs 28 times or 4 x 7.”

6 + 7 we have covered a lot. America – 1776 and Jerusalem 6/7/67. 6 and 7 show that which is human or flesh and that which is spiritual.

“Seven” appears 463 times in scripture. We see it as a prophetic time period (70) or as seven sevens. A Jubilee is the 50th year or after 49 years, 7×7.

“Seventy,” in combination with other numbers, occurs 35 times, or 7 x 5. Hebrew year 5777 concludes in September of 2017.

Jesus performed 7 miracles on the Sabbath (7th day).

The 7th day is rest, the Sabbath where man is to focus not on things of the flesh or the physical world but on the spiritual. 6,000 years of human history followed by the 1,000 year Millennium reign of Christ. A day is as a thousand years.

8

New beginning, born again, new creation, circumcision of the heart.

6 is sin and flesh, 8 is new birth allowing the 6 to be reconciled to 7.

8 people on Noah’s Ark (2 Pet. 2:5); circumcision on 8th day (Gen. 17:12); God made 8 covenants with Abraham

Jesus showed himself 8 times after He resurrected.

The numeric value of Jesus in Greek as written in the NT is 888.

The numeric value of Noah, Shem and Japheth is 888.

9

Finality and judgment, fullness of time. The final single digit.

From carm.org: “There are 9 greek words derived from the root word meaning judgment = dikay. The following words each occur 9 times in the Bible: abussos (bottomless pit); asebee (ungodly); aselgeia (lasciviousness); and astrapee (lightning). The gifts of the spirit are 9 in number (1 Cor. 12:8-10): the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.”

Jesus offered up His Spirit at the 9th hour

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) the holiest of the year, begins at sunset on the 9th day of the seventh Hebrew month.

Finality and fullness are demonstrated by 9 being the final single digit and the final number before 10 which is the completed order of a thing. In our fallen states, judgment is necessary before bringing about completion.

When you see judgment and fruits/gifts of the Spirit together understand these are not mutually exclusive. “Greater things than these you will do”. As judgment increases those set apart will experience a greater outpouring of giftings through which they will produce more fruit. The light shines brighter in darkness.

10

Entire aggregate of something and completion or fullness. Completed order of a thing.

  • The Passover lamb was selected on the 10th day of the 1st month
  • The 10th day of the 7th month is the Holy Day known as the Day of Atonement.
  • “Ten Days of Repentance” (Days of Awe or Ten Days of Return) – From Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur.
  • 10th time Isaac is mentioned is in Genesis 22 when Abraham is taking him to Mt. Moriah. A type and shadow of the ultimate sacrifice to be paid in full by Messiah.
  • The Holy Spirit descended on the apostles ten days after the Ascension of Jesus.
  • Smyrna – persecuted church in Revelation, 10 days of tribulation.
  • In Genesis, chapter 1, at the beginning of creation, the term “God said” is used 10 times.
  • A tithe (Heb. = maasrah meaning “a tenth”) of 10%
  • In the Temple were 10 lavers, 10 lampstands, and 10 tables
  • God brought 10 plagues on Egypt
  • God created us with 10 fingers and 10 toes.
  • The Ten Commandments of God given to Moses.
  • The ten generations from Adam until Noah.
  • The ten leprous heal by Jesus.
  • The ten horns of the Beast of the Revelation with the ten diadems on each of horns.
  • Parable of 10 virgins (5 wise/5 foolish)

11

Chaos, disorder and judgment.

As 10 is the law and 12 is God’s divine government and order, 11 seeks to exceed the law and falls short of God’s order.

Bullinger puts it this way: “If ten is the number which marks the perfection of Divine order, then eleven is an addition to it, subversive of and undoing that order. If twelve is the number which marks the perfection of Divine government, then eleven falls short of it. So that whether we regard it as being 10 + 1, or 12 – 1, it is the number which marks, disorder, disorganization, imperfection, and disintegration.” Source

Genesis 11 is the tower of Babel, arguably the greatest display of disorder and chaos stemming from rebelling in world history. 11 has been seen in our 911/119 theme as well. September 11, or 9/11 and the 9th of Av or the Hebrew 9/11 (Av is the 11th civil month).

Occurences of 11 in Bible representing chaos, disorder and judgment – From Bullinger’s Numbers in Scripture:

  • THE DUKES OF EDOM
  • JEHOIAKIM REIGNED ELEVEN YEARS
  • ZEDEKIAH REIGNED ELEVEN YEARS
  • THE ELEVENTH YEAR
  • THE ELEVEN APOSTLES
  • THE ELEVENTH HOUR
  • ELEVEN HUNDRED

Included in the above cited source, Joseph was 11 years at Potiphar’s house and 11 kings/rulers were offended by prophets who spoke to truth to them. Pharaoh, Exo 10:28;Balak, Num 24:10;Jeroboam, 1 Kings 13:4;Ahab;1 Kings 22:27;Naaman, 2 Kings 5:12;Asa, 2 Chron 16:10;Joash, 2 Chron 24:21;Uzziah, 2 Chron 26:19;Jehoiakim, Jer 26:21;Zedekiah, Jer 32:3;Herod, Matt 14:3.

11’s have been appearing everywhere in current events. Even before 9/11 and after with Paris you had eleven 11’s. If you need confirmation it is not hard to find it. We have covered the prevalence of both 11 and 13 in numerous posts.

12

Divine Government and Authority or Government Perfection

There were 12 tribes of Israel; 12 Apostles, 12 foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem; 12 gates; 12 pearls; 12 angels. The measurements of New Jerusalem are 12,000 furlongs or stadia, while the wall will be 144 (12 x 12) cubits (Rev. 21:16-17) 24 elders (12 x 2) around the throne in Revelation 4, and 144,000 is 12,000 x 12

12 people are specifically recorded as being anointed (5 priests, 7 kings)

In Matthew 26:53 Jesus specifically mentions “12” legions of angels – Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

According to Bullinger Jesus was 12 years old when he spoke his first recorded words in Luke 2:49 – And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? Not only are these words the first recorded but the only recorded words until Jesus reached 29 years of age.

120 – is 12 x 10 (completion) in Genesis 6:3 the Lord says His spirit will not always strive with man but his days shall be 120 years. This was 120 years prior to the flood. It was also reference to 120 Jubilees until the end of the age and eventually it would be the maximum lifespan of a human.

In the present time, 120 year extends from the First Zionist Congress in 1897 to the Revelation 12 sign of 2017. All events surrounding Israel within this 120 year window connect by specified Biblical intervals. 1897, 1917, 1947, 1948, 1967, 2017.

13

Rebellion

Man’s attempt to supersede God’s divine government order (12). 13 is man rebelling and thus reaching beyond the order established by God. In this way, 13 is to 12 what 11 is to 10. 10 being the completed order of a matter, 11 exceeds or oversteps resulting in chaos, disorder, judgment. Likewise, 12 is order, God’s government order and any attempt to supersede (13) or add to as seen at Babel is rebellion.

  • There are 13 famines recorded in scripture.
  • Nimrod, the archetypal Antichrist and one world ruler at Babel was 13 from Adam in Ham’s line. Nimrod IS rebellion.
  • The word “dragon” appears 13 times in Revelation, 8 of which is chapter 12.

The first mention of “thirteen” in the KJV is in Genesis 17 – And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Ishmael, conceived when Abraham and Sarah panicked. They did not trust God’s order or His timing.

Muhammad the descendant of Ishmael who was circumcised at 13, the founder of the rebellious religion is littered with 13’s…

Muhammad had 13 wives and his initial attempt to convert others to Islam began in 613 and lasted 13 years in Mecca before he had to leave and would begin to spread Islam by force by raiding Medina.

17

Complete victory

  • 17 is the 7th prime number
  • Flood began on 17th Iyar
  • Jesus resurrected 17th Nisan
  • Daniel 7 heads and 10 horns
  • Noahs ark came to rest on the 17th day of 7th month at 17,000 feet
  • Symbolizes man existing in both worlds, celestial and terrestrial
  • 17 people and nations present at Pentecost
  • Joseph was 17yrs old when sold as a slave by brothers
  • Rehoboam, son of Solomon reigned 17 years
  • The 10 commandments are 17 verses
  • Jacob lived 17 years in Egypt
  • Jesus traveled 17 years for his preparation for public ministry
  • The Jewish law counts 17 blessings
  • James wrote epistle 17 years after Jesus crucifixion
  • Beethoven wrote 17 quartets
  • Haendels first water music occurred on 7/17/1717
  • The number 17 is used 17 times in the Bible
  • In the Bible 17 numbers are multiples of 17
  • The word manna is used 17 times in the Bible
  • The verb to kneel is used 17 times in the Bible
  • The verb to pay is used 17 times in the NT
  • 17 places in the NT God is called God the Unique
  • Psalm 117 is the middle chapter of the Bible as well as the shortest

717 is spiritual perfection and complete victory. The name of YHWH in Hebrew has a 717 in English. God knew in the last days more people would speak English than were alive during the majority of world history. For those with eyes to see it is clear.

Genesis 7:17

“And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.”

24

Priesthood

12 tribes + 12 apostles and 24 elders in Revelation 4.

“A  multiple of twelve, expresses in a higher form the same signification (as 22 does of 11). It is the number associated with the heavenly government and worship, of which the earthly form in Israel was only a copy. We are told that both Moses and David ordered all things connected with the Tabernacle and Temple worship by direct revelation from God, and as a copy of things in the heavens, Hebrews 8:5; 1 Chronicles 28:12, 19. And the sevenfold phrase (in Exo 40) “as the LORD commanded Moses” witnesses to the Divine ordering of all. It was so with the twenty-four courses of priests in the earthly Temple; these were formed on the “pattern of things in the heavens.” In Revelation 4, we read of the twenty-four heavenly elders, who are the twelve Patriarchs from the Old Testament and the twelve Apostles from the New.” (E.W. Bullinger).

40

Probation, Trial or Transition

The Israelites wandered for 40 years (Deut. 8:2-5). Moses was on the mount for 40 days (Exodus 24:18); 40 days of Jonah and Nineveh (Jonah 3:4). Jesus was tempted for 40 days (Matt. 4:2).

We have covered the Hebrew letter Mem whose numeric value is 40.

As each Hebrew letter has a number value it also has a meaning symbolized by its ancient pictograph. Mem is not only the number 40 but it is also “water” as you can see from the above image. Hebrew4Christians is a good resource for more on Mem. Water is 40, 40 days and nights it rained in Noah’s flood and the earth transitioned, or experienced a “trial/probation”. 40 weeks of gestation, probation, transition into the world from the womb, before “the water breaks” and the child is born.

There were 8 periods of 40 days in scripture:

Forty days Moses was in the mount to receive the Law, Exo 24:18.
Forty days Moses was in the mount after the sin of the Golden Calf, Deut 9:18,25.
Forty days of the spies, issuing in the penal sentence of the 40 years, Num 13:26, 14:34.
Forty days of Elijah in Horeb, 1 Kings 19:8.
Forty days of Jonah and Nineveh, Jonah 3:4.
Forty days Ezekiel lay on his right side to symbolize the 40 years of Judah’s transgression.*
Forty days Jesus was tempted of the Devil, Matt 4:2.
Forty days Jesus was seen of His disciples, speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God, Acts 1:3.

44

Creation recreated (4 twice)

The end and the beginning. The fullness of time, the chaos disorder and judgment to conclude this creation period prior to the return of Christ and all things being made new. It is the escalation of the best and the worst, the darkest time the world has ever seen but look up for your redemption draws near.

Dr. Stephen Jones of GKM …

The number 44 is rooted in the number 4, which is the number of the creation, particularly the earth. But the four is doubled, almost as if to illustrate to us the contention between two people who each have the desire to be chosen to rule or inherit the earth. Yet 44 is also a double 22. The number 22 is the number of the Sons of Light. So the true chosen ones (44) are closely linked to the Sons of Light (22). The biblical meaning of 44

  • 44 times tribulation is mentioned in scripture in most modern translations. In the KJV it is 22 times in 22 verses.
  • 44 Kings of Israel when counted as US Presidents, where two terms are counted individually. Or, if you wanted to count David as one and not consider his two terms as two kings, you would have 43 but Jesus makes it 44.
  • “Child” is 44 in Jewish Gematria – She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Revelation 12:5
  • 111 verse #44’s in Bible

Both 44 and 45 have a connection to Jesus or the Man Child. 44’s are appearing everywhere in current events. As one age transitions to another we go from 44 to 45. The United States transitioned from the 44th to 45th president in Hebrew year 5777. If you count Israel and Judah kings as 44, the coming Messiah will be #45. If you don’t count David twice Jesus will be #44.

70

Spiritual order (or completed order) of perfection. It is the combined meaning of 7 and 10. Examples in scripture make very clear the significance of this number. The coming period of tribulation referred to as The Great Tribulation or Jacob’s Trouble is also known as Daniel’s 70th week. 2017 marked the 70th anniversary of the covenant or UN Resolution for Israel to return to their land. 2018 will be the 70th anniversary of Israel returning as a nation. Donald Trump was born 700 days before Israel and his 70th birthday was 700 days before Israel’s 70th.

  • 70 elders appointed by Moses
  • 70 original nations and languages dispersed at Babel
  • 70 years Babylonian captivity
  • 70 weeks in Daniel or 490 years
  • 70 years are the days of our life in Psalm 90:10
  • Terah, Abraham’s father was 70 years of age when he had his first child
  • 70 Israelites began in Egypt eventually growing to over 2 million
  • 70 disciples were sent out by Jesus
  • 70 parables of Jesus in the gospels
  • Jesus, when asked about forgiveness said “70 times 7”

70 is the numeric value of the Hebrew letter Ayin. Ayin is the 16th letter and “seventy” appears 61 times in the KJV. 2016 was Trump’s 70th. Ayin means “eye” or “to see”. עַיִן ‘ayin first occurs in the famous “Fall” passage of Genesis 3 in the “your eyes will be opened” metaphor for knowledge, specifically of “good and evil”. source

120

12 (God’s divine government order) x 10 (completed order of a thing). 120 is the culmination of God’s sovereign order. There are 120 Jubilees from Creation to the final final Jubilee before the Millennium.

A 120 year period was given for repentance prior to the flood. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years” Genesis 6:3. Many believe there are layers of meaning to this 120 years. First, that it was the countdown to the flood. Second, that man’s lifespan would eventually top of 120 years. Third, that 120 Jubilees would exist before Christ would rule and reign on earth for the 1,000 year Sabbath rest. 120 Jubilees = 6,000 years. A day is as a thousand years, 6 days of creation and 1 day rest, 6,000 creation and 1,000 rest.

Modern science confirms this secondary reading.

We’ll soon all live to 120 years old – but this is probably the absolute limit, claims expert

Humans were designed to live 120 years

After Jesus’ resurrection 120 disciples gathered in Jerusalem to determine the successor of Judas.

We see the 12’s in 12 tribes, 12,000 from each tribe to form the 144,000, and the 12 apostles. When we multiply the 12 (divine government) by 10 (completed order) we see a fullness of time or culmination/finality to this. In a way you could say it is a super/final/completed government order.

120 was the age of Moses when he died.

120 gathered in the upper room.

120 priests with Solomon who brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem.

Strong’s #120 is  #0120 אָדָם ‘adam {aw-dawm’} or “man”. An interesting convergence to Genesis 6:3. In fact, this is the very word used in Genesis 6:3 – And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Original Word: אָדָם
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: adam
Phonetic Spelling: (aw-dawm’)
Short Definition: man
